The Town of Lynnfield has obtained preliminary designs for a new Fire Department Headquarters at the intersection of Salem and Summer Streets, where the Fire Department’s current South Station is located. The new facility would feature improved equipment storage and decontamination space, as well as adequate accommodations for male and female firefighters, which the department’s current headquarters and south station lack.
In parallel with the project, the town will be making significant improvements to the intersection of Salem and Summer Streets using funding through the state’s Complete Streets Grant Program.
